The complete building and maintenance service
R&B was established in 1971 by Jack Robinson and Roy Bibby and later taken over by Christopher Hill in 1986. The company is now run by three of Christopher’s sons, Anthony, James and Matthew .
The majority of our work in the 1970's and 1980's concentrated on the cotton, quarrying, bedding and brick plant industries. During this period these industries provided the core of our work and we had long associations with various quarries , concrete and tarmac plants across Yorkshire, and installed brick and concrete production plants across the whole of the UK. We also had a long association with Silentnight Ltd.
The decline of these traditional industries in the 1990's saw a shift in our core business. We did however continue our relationships with local industry, carrying out installations for a new machine tool facility at Rolls Royce in Lancashire. We have also worked on many Yorkshire Water fresh and waste water sites.
Following our client’s requests and an increase in demand, R & B Building Services was formed in 2003 offering a one stop shop for all building and maintenance requirements from small domestic properties to schools, offices and commercial buildings utilising fully qualified and up to date trained operatives.
